Organization History

In 2005 a group of local youth came together to decide the ways and means to improve the living conditions of the people in KULPI Block. Initially they carried out welfare activities contributing their time and energy for EDUCATION CENTER(RABINDRA MUKTA BIDHALAY), free Computer and Mobile Training Institute , Vocational Training Programme ( Tailoring Training Center), IGP ( Garment and Dress making) for vulnerable and dropout girl child , woman and youth Primary Health ( sundarban ), cleaning ponds and offering medical help to the sick people in the locality.

In 2008-09, they formed themselves into organizations titles “SOUTHERN RESQUE” (S.R) and registered the same under the Societies registration act. Over the years S.R has matured into a leading the pioneering organization with Education ,health ,SHGs and Women Empowerment as the major with awareness building for the right of the rural populace.

Mission, Vision & Goal

Vision: A self-reliant society free from the evils of caste, creed, gender discrimination, illiteracy, ill health, property and exploitation where men and women move ahead-in-hand and in perfect harmony.

Mission: To provide meaningful opportunities to the poor and disadvantaged, with particular emphasis on the empowerment of women and other vulnerable sections of the society so as to achieve high level of sustained social and economic development.

Goal: Holistic development of individuals through people’s organization and utilization of local resources.

Major Objectives

Major Objectives:

  • To support human potential development through education, training & formation viable peoples group with emphasis on children, adolescents, youth and women.
  • To generate awareness on anti – trafficking measures of minors for commercial sexual exploitation and unsafe migration.
  • To protect persons with disabilities, disabilities children and ensure their proper rehabilitation.
  • Running vocational training centre.
  • To protect women and girls from domestic violence, family disturbance and sexual harassment
  • To form self-help groups for micro credit activity among the marginalized women & adolescent and empower them for self-development and self-reliance.
  • To launch income generation projects and resource mobilization efforts for self –reliance of the organization
  • Sustainable Agriculture development programme using eco-friendly cultivation methodology.
  • Environment protection & disaster management
